2007 La Pommeraie Chardonnay Scores in Blind Tasting

91.5 (Very Good+) | 2007 Russian River Valley 'La Pommeraie' Chardonnay

"This Chardonnay from Benovia brought some attention to this little known brand at our recent blind tasting. This light yellow colored Chard opens with a toasty honeydew melon like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, shows excellent balance, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious light apricot and mango with hints of butterscotch and cashews. The finish is dry and very nicely prolonged. The panel felt this Chard would be quite delightful on its own or with an appetizer like prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe. Enjoy!"
