"The legendary Cohn Vineyard .. part of the Benovia Estate properties. planted in the 1970s is home to Pommard and Martini 13 and is the source for the superb 2009 Benovia Pi not Noir, Cohn Vineyard. The nose of warm herb and toasted nuts with yellow cherries. and salted licorice leads to the palate of incredibly smooth. supple black cherry. cola and blackberry. The finish is soft impressions of all the black fruit ripeness with more floral (lilac. violet) character coming through. Should be a benchmark wine in the book of every Pinotphile. Drink 2012 - 2022."

"2009 Benovia Pinot Noir,Savoy Vineyard is produced from five organically farmed clones (Calera. I 13. I 15. Martini 13 and Pommard) and has a perfumed nose of cherry. orange and vanilla with a little bit of stem quality. The palate is beautifully proportioned with a supple feel of black currant and red fruits (cranberry. cherry and strawberry). From the mid-palate. I find firm fruit and mineral texture with the finish keeping this alive even though it gains from fine-grained. polished tannins. Drink 2012 - 2019."

"2009 Benovia Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast has a nose of leather. cherry. graphite with green tea and brown spices. The palate is a little lean and flat on entry with some faint watermelon. black cherry and graphite that gain with exposure to air for an hour. Recommend decanting for 60 minutes+. Drink 2012 - 2017."
