Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
This wine's fruit comes from Lee Martinelli's Charles Vineyard
located on the third coastal ridge from the Pacific Ocean, near the
town of Seaview. Perhaps our most Burgundian Chardonnay in our
portfolio, this seductive Chardonnay displays aromas of citrus
blossom and green apple, with underlying mineral notes. The palate
displays tension between bright acidity and cool-climate structure
framed with flavors of white peach and Crane melon. The
Benovia Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is delightfully elegant upon
release, and will continue to gain complexity with bottle age for
there to five years. This one has become a favorite of many
local winemakers.
